Heather D. Dolland is founder and owner of All The Tastes of New York, a startup firm that organizes and hosts themed “food crawl” dining experiences at some of Manhattan’s top restaurants. Launched in 2012, All the Tastes of New York enables groups of eight to 30 participants to enjoy appetizers, entrees and desserts at three restaurants within walking distance of each other in neighborhoods ranging from Hell’s Kitchen, the East Village to the Lower East Side, Murray Hill and Upper West Side. In addition, the company also provides brand promotion services to local wine and spirit companies.

“Food is the one language we all speak, and my goal is to curate experiences that propel dining from the ordinary to the extraordinary for my clients,” says Heather, whose business has been featured on The Fox News Channel, New York 1, Queens Tribune and Times Ledger.

All the Tastes of New York is the perfect venture for Heather, an accomplished amateur chef, business development specialist and former “brand ambassador” for leading wine and spirits labels. She came up with the idea while vacationing in the South Beach section of Miami Beach. “My mother and I were walking along Ocean Drive, and we couldn’t make up our minds about where to eat,” Heather explains. “As we read the menus posted outside the restaurants, we liked the appetizers at one place, the entrees at another and the dessert at a third. In that moment, it occurred to me, ‘Where is it written that you must have the entire meal at one restaurant?’” So Heather and her mother enjoyed three different courses at three different restaurants—and a business model was born.

Today, Heather partners with more than 50 culturally diverse restaurants throughout Manhattan—from trendy neighborhood bistros to fine-dining establishments—to deliver an exciting culinary experience with exceptional service in memorable atmospheres. Heather’s corporate clients include Match.com, Google, VeriFone, MetLife and Tumblr, and so far, 1,000+ guests have participated on the food crawls—an activity that lends itself to singles events, business outings and bachelor/bachelorette parties.

Born and raised in Grenada, Heather holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Technology from the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, New York. Prior to launching All the Tastes of New York, Heather spent 11 years at Roux Associates, Inc., an environmental consulting firm in Islandia, New York.

Heather lives in the Murray Hill section of Manhattan. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking West Indian favorites of her youth and taking long walks in Central Park with her Schnoodle, Soca.

Heather’s new book “Discovering the New York Craft Spirits Boom” is published by Waldorf Publishing and will be in-stores, May 2015.
