Against all odds, being a high school dropout from a broken family, Butch earned his GED, College Degree and Navy Pilot Wings within a six year period. He flew P3 Orion airplanes during the Cold War, joined the U.S. Customs Service as a Special Agent and Pilot fighting in the war on drugs in Central and South America, and later flew commercially for Northwest Airlines. The book contains insights into military and law enforcement operations, and recounts Butch’s journey through life from growing up in Pennsylvania, moving to Colorado, dropping out of high school and then graduating from Navy Flight Training with some of the highest grades in the history of Naval Aviation. Butch will take you through the rigors of Aviation Officer Candidate School, flight training, Sere School, and what it was like to fly in the fleet. He also shares his experiences operating in Central and South America, participating in the war on drugs along with the DEA and host Nations militaries.
