Tom Morrison 

Tom Morrison is a 1990 graduate of Florida State University with a B.S. in Finance. He began his career in association management in 1995 as an Executive Vice President hired to assume the role of CEO of the Florida Automotive Industry Association. Tom lead FAIA to be recognized as one of the top 10 influences in the $260 billion automotive aftermarket in 1998.

In late 2005, Tom was hired by the Metal Treating Institute as Executive Vice President to assume the role of CEO in 2008. Tom has been instrumental in helping MTI drive growth in their member value proposition, trade show, annual conferences, online technical training, and use of technology. Through Tom’s leadership, MTI’s net worth has grown over 1,000% since 2006.

Tom is active in the Florida Society of Association Executives, Council of Manufacturing Executives, and American Society of Association Executives. In 2012, due to peer recognition of Tom’s professionalism, business innovation, and passion, he was named the FSAE Association Executive of the Year.

On numerous occasions, Tom has been published in the numerous national publications including The Source Magazine and Associations Now in the association field and most recently recognized as a case study in the book, The Art of Membership by Shari Jacobs.

In addition to running a full-time association, Tom enjoys speaking to groups about association growth, finding their passions and maximizing their quality of life. Due to his recognition as an extremely knowledgeable industry veteran, and his engaging, highly energetic delivery, he is a much sought after speaker. He educates people on how to create and deliver high value and passion; making “believers” of association members, helping to create financial security for associations and how to achieve the ultimate quality of life.

Tom is currently in the midst of writing his first book, How to Get Your People to Scream Your Name and Beg For More due out in July 2015, published by Waldorf Publishing.
