Matthew Bernstein
Matthew Bernstein is a high school senior and honors student with a passion for writing and music. As a staff writer forOregon Music News, Matthew has been conducting interviews and writing articles for the online music magazine since he was in eighth grade. In addition, he is a featured columnist for the Oregon Music News print newspaper.
Matthew also writes for the Fender Music Foundation Newsletter focusing on telling the stories of grant recipient’s from underserved music programs across the nation.
Matthew plays the piano and guitar. He also sings in two school choirs, and the Pacific Youth Choir. He has written his first book, Music Soothes the Soul at the age of 17. It is based on his popular weekly Oregon Music News series called, “Music on the Street.”
Music Soothes the Soul is being published by Waldorf Publishing and will be released August 15th, 2015.
